Pierre Bateau’s debut is by far was the most fascinating and outstanding piece of literary fiction I have read this year!! This story has five different main characters going on; but wait the three of the five characters belong to one person who’s suffering with multiple personality disorder, something the reader will not see coming. This was indeed a stimulating approach on the author's behalf.
Split Indecision is a captivating story that gives his readers a front row seat into the mind of someone who is at a constant war with themselves. Multiple personality disorder is an often conversation topic but what is repeatedly absent is a clear definition and or how someone suffering with such a setback views his or her own actions.
In the novel Split Indecision; the reader feels that they are actually in the mind of the character experiencing those "episodes" and walks away educated and entertained.
Split Indecision is a book that will have the reader eagerly anticipating what will happen next. The author keeps the reader's attention with each page and the only regret would be that like all great things, they eventually have to come to an end.
Kudos to Pierre Bateau and his debut novel, and I eagerly await his future literary endeavors.
In the book “Identifying your F.A.I.T.H” readers are given a new and energizing inspirational approach to handles all of life’s obstacles. Acronologist Simone G. Parker invites readers into her world of acronyms.
Parker talks about faith, but this book is more than your typical inspirational book, but a motivational way to address life in a fashion that is more practical. She shows readers that all things are possible through prayer and that for all it takes is hope!
The author gives readers a way to relate with her acronyms and the delivery of her method is right on point. The readers are even given the opportunity to take notes so that they can reference back at a later date.
The book also gives you marvelous quotes from renowned people from all generations that will leave readers with much more than an encouraging but indeed motivational book.
Author Simone G. Parker has done an excellent job with conveying the message that all things are possible through Christ!
Kudos to the author for a work well done and look forward to the next inspirational journey the acronologist will take readers on.
In the novel “His Baggage Her load” readers are given an exclusive look into a young woman in love and her trials and tribulations of trying to have the happily ever after but in this literary fiction she will never see that, just about everything but!
Author Ty Goode did an amazing job with bringing the main character Kisha to life, her emotions and devotion to her man Kevin will often leave readers wondering why? Why would someone subject themselves to such pain if they could easily prevent it?
Why isn’t the only issue you will have while reading this book also another problem that comes to mind is how? How could someone endure all that they did for so long? A genuine thought provoking read.
Readers will definitely be delighted and entertained with “His Baggage Her load” and it is truly a book where you are able to relate to something about the characters if you have ever been in love.
Author Ty Goode went above and beyond just bringing the characters to life so that you were truly able to relate to but more so, readers will feel as though they are right there going through motions with the characters.
Readers will find the book refreshing since it tackles on the subject of infidelity but more on what it in truthfully entails besides the currently regularly used typical happy endings.
Though Ty Goode is new to the literary scene, her writing skills will show readers she will definitely have a place in the literary world for the long run!
In the novel Sex, Lies, Men and Friends readers are invited into the lives of three Oakland, California friends Peaches, Ayisha and Shamiya. Friends since childhood the three began to see that as fast as things are good they can turn bad real quick and friendships are tested.
Peaches is your true “around the way” girl who has decided that plotting and scheming on men will be her full time job that and being a public assistance recipient while being a parent to her kids will fall in second place as her kids are an often inconvenience to her.
Ayisha is the more seemingly level headed girl of the gang until she falls for a married man. She tries to fight what her heart tells her even as coming as close as marrying another man to get over this “love” she soon realizes that the heart never lies.
Shamiya just wants to keep her family together, even if that means being her boyfriend’s personal punching bag, but after finally having an enough she leaves and starts down a destructive past that has deadly consequences.
Author Leila Jefferson did a magnificent job of telling an incredible story. The reader will definitely enjoy the story line but more importantly able to identify and relate to the authors glimpse into the world of the three.
Sex, Lies, Men and Friends will have readers sitting on the edge of their seat anticipating what is going to happen next. This novel is a must read and a soon to be book club favorite!
I really enjoyed the story from beginning to the end and eagerly wait to see what is next for Leila Jefferson. Hats off to the author for a wonderful story!!
The book "Forever Our Angels" takes a very honest look into the lives of men and women that are affected by the loss of a pregnancy. Some of the people who shared their stories have suffered multiple losses such as the author herself.
This was an incredible collection of stories of anger, hope, bravery and even despair. The message excellently conveyed was – Not to take anything for granted.
What was also amazing that in situations like miscarriage ,their weren't many outlets for parents to express how and what they are really feeling and in "Forever Our Angels" did an outstanding job of filling an obvious void that was missing for parents going through the same thing.
The book is filled with personal short stories of men and women and the author did an outstanding job of bringing each story to life that you too felt the same emotion these parents did. There was an incredible introduction by a physician who too had experienced the ache of the losing a child. I laughed and I cried. This was an on the whole a great book and a necessary read for parents who have suffered a loss of a child.
No one could even possibly know all the pain and heartache from the loss of a child more than the parents of such tragedy, this novel delivered the much needed outlet that offered that shoulder to lean on but more significantly that someone was thinking of the parents, and in this case it was author Hannah Stone.
David Lincoln is tall, dark and handsome all that and then some. He was what every woman wanted good looking, college degree, no children, no prison record, and best of all good credit!! A former cop turned writer.
Val was sexy, graceful, famous, and rich! A biracial ballet dancer from old money and strong Hollywood ties. David had no idea that he would ever choose, or be chosen, to spend the rest of his life with someone like Val. But David soon discovered that Val loved him more than he loved himself, and what more could a man possibly want?
Together David and Val shared a life that was enviable, with money, fame, parties, sex and good times. It's only until the arrival of David's ex-girlfriend from back home, the seductive Patti, that their love was put to the test. David and Val found themselves questioning their lifestyles and each other.
This book was a non stop roller coaster ride. I picked this book up and when I began reading it I thought for sure I thought I knew who Val really was. Boy, was I wrong this story was great. This story took you deep into the lives of a homosexual couple and something could have been left for the imagination it was definitely different from what society would accept as the norm.
One part that was disturbing was that Patty never picked up on the two until the end and for me that didn't seem realistic because the two main characters were too in sync with one another for anyone not to be able to pick up on the "chemistry".
I look forward to more novels from PR Hawkins.
REVIEW COMING SOON

This was my first Francine Craft novel…Not my last!! Job Well done!
Shock jock Wendy Williams lets loose with the first in a series of novels based on her alter ego, the diva radio DJ Ritz Harper. Ritz puts the s in shock and the g in gossip, and Drama is her middle name.
Ritz is a sweet girl on the outside, but inside she’s a hustler’s whose claim to fame is that you ruined the career of a anchorwoman who also happens to be her former friend from college. That is as far as it goes for plot.
This book was a quick read so quick in fact I managed through it while walking on my treadmill. I am still not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.
If you purchase this novel thinking Wendy is now a story teller and is going to whisk you off into never-never land think again!
If you are a fan of Wendy's radio show then you already know what this book is about. I assume this is the closest thing to a biography we are going to get. 224 pages of blind items you as a loyal listener of her radio show already know.
I was just simply disappointed that this story was based on her life with a lot of name changes but the story still remained the same she is a gossip guru who makes a living by bringing your skeletons out of the closet. It was also below par that the book left with a cliffhanger, a smart business tactic to get you to buy the next one.
Will this book sell? Certainly because of who the author is and what she is known for.
Have I read better? Most definitely and there are so many other talented authors that wont get their time to shine because society loves what it loves and in this instance it is Wendy Williams.

E. Lynn Harris's latest novel delivers everything you would expect from the best selling author and if you haven't ever read one of his books before this would be a perfect one for you to start with. For his returning fans you will delighted with a cameo appearances from Basil and Yancy.
This book delivers suspense and good laughs but also tackles the taboo topics like homosexuality but more so homosexuals that do go to church and safe sex.
Harris has definitely done it again with a novel to leave you wanting more of E. Lynn Harris!!!
A definite great read! Kudos to Harris!
Layla Simone has been "Faking It" for so long that she's lost sense of self. Layla is tired of living her life for others, sick and tired of waiting on her man to marry her. Feed up with putting her dreams on hold, Layla moves to Los Angeles to find herself and to follow her dream of being a writer for the movies and television. She befriends a gold digger (Quassmirah) and starts dating one of the most popular record executives on the West Coast (Wesley). Before she could get comfortable in the lifestyle of the rich and famous, she learns that her brother is in a coma and has to catch a flight back to Jersey.
In this book you can relate to Layla because she is someone you know or she could possibly be you and this author does a wonderful job of telling this young ladies road to self discovery.
The message that was so apparent through and through is that dreams do come true and ANYTHING and EVERYTHING is obtainable only if you truly desire it and do not let ANYONE or ANYTHING get in your way in pursuit of your dreams.
I am a fan of Ms. Hunter's work and her latest effort did not disappoint, you definitely see the her writing growth in the novel.
Kudos to Angel Hunter!!
Any Rich Man Will Do tells a story of a young woman lost named Jana and all of her life she has been looking for real love in all of the wrong places. This stemmed from a mother who taught her to use her body to get what she wanted and a fathers love she so desperately wanted, but would never receive since he never wanted a daughter just another reminder of her mother’s deceitful ways. From one bad and unhealthy relationship to another Jana finally hits rock bottom and is basically kicked to the curb.
By the same people in the elite crowd she once considered friends. Down on her luck and literally starving she lands herself at a luxury linen store and the owner Olivia. Olivia and her brother take her and teach her the life long lesson that you can change if you want too! But ultimately that it doesn’t matter what your past once was but that you want to make your future better and that if God is the only one who can in the end judge you it doesn’t matter what other people may think as long as you know and believe in your heart and strive for better.
This novel essentially tells a tale of deliverance and how Jana’s life is transformed for the better and really has people who care and have an genuine best interest at heart for her. The author’s characters allow you to feel all of the emotions of someone like Jana. This is a good read and would read other titles by Francis Ray
Author V. Anthony Rivers really does an amazing job in latest fictional effort My Life Is All I Have. The novel tells a story of Leesha Taylor growing up in a not so desirable section of L.A. and her daily trials and tribulations from girl fights to the constant advances that come from her mother's boyfriend. Leesha often does try to escape her somewhat chaotic life by looking out the window and along her way to self discovery she meets Scottie AKA Blaze. Life doesn't always seem that bad as long as she had Blaze and her grandma but when she dies this makes Leesha's road to self discovery an uncertain path and while trying to "do the right thing" she does meet a handsome admirer Treyvon, unlike the guys she has grew up around is different and is a talented artist and all he simply wants to do is just love Leesha. Wanting to escape the ghetto life she has seen all of her life she evinces this plan to do the unthinkable and with no other than Treyvon by her side, he does something that changes both of their lives forever. V. Anthony Rivers weaves a wonderful tale of self discovery while combining that classic street literature that many fans will enjoy. I really enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down. I was beyond a doubt hooked when the author took us back via flashback and you truly felt you were there in the early nineties from the style of dress down to the music. There is no doubt in my mind that Mr. Rivers is here to stay in the literary world.
Monogamous Intentions was my second book by new author Shannon N. Davis. Her debut was a nice read and her second release fell nothing short of a remarkable book!
Monogamous tells a story of main character Sedonia and from the outside looking in you would think she had the perfect life until she meets Donnell a handsome stranger who forever changes her life as well as the life she shares with her husband.
In Shannon's sophomore effort she definitely has a winner!! This book deals with real issues of adultery and even the actual epidemic of HIV amongst the African-American community. What is also tackled as a topic is the taboo subject of homosexuality. The ending will definitely have you screaming "Oh my God!"
I sat down with this book and did not put it down until I was finished and that was some eight hours later. This book from beginning to end had all the twist and turns of your favorite roller coaster ride. It had the suspense, comedy and drama it was like all of your favorite television shows rolled into one great book! You definitely had the mini movie in your mind going on!
J. California Cooper is a lady who has a lot to say and does a pretty darn good job at it. what is it you ask? Well, it is writing. in her latest effort Wild Stars Seeking Midnight Suns.
This is a book filled with short stories about everything from a gold-digger to a lonely ugly duckling looking for her prince charming and everything else in between.
The only thing that I was disappointed with was that it came to an end too soon (for me at least). It is indeed a book filled with knowledge, definitely some food for thought!
I had never read a book by Cooper before but upon reading this book of short stories, I am indeed a fan for life and look forward to her next literary efforts.

Savior Flava" was an excellent great, quick read. I sat down lastnight and read the book in about six hours...Yes, it was that damn good! It is an inspirational thriller and thrilling it was. "Savior Flava" tells a story of a young woman who is trying to fight those inner demons and the process of doing so she finds true love (which is always plus for us females because we love romance..lol). This book definitely has plots and twists and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat saying OMG...you didn't see it coming or OMG...oh now I get it ... or better yet...OMG..God is good!..."Savior Flava" is an inspirational book but it isn't overly saturated with preaching. The messages throughout the book are there loud and clear. So please go and get this book.
I ordered this book from a book club and it sat on my shelf. I picked this book up last Thursday night and Friday afternoon it was complete!!
RM Johnson did the damn thing!! It was well written and though I didn't like the ending too much it still overall was a great read.
The novel is about a couple Nate and Monica and though it seems like the perfect life something is missing to make this family complete...A BABY
